The domain for the website was originally snapped up around 2007/2008 during a mad spree searching for domain names for investing purposes, and got a teensy bit carried away. This was the best railways related domain name I could find up for grabs at the time.
Some time later I decided to put it to use in the form of a website.
About the LocomotivesUK Rail Blog
The original wordpress was installed in 2018 as part of an idea to try make it easier to manage the website and stick up fresh content.
About LocomotivesUK on BlogSpot/Blogger
I added an account there as a back-up for when the website goes down because of billing issues, or the WordPress install self-destructs like has happened eventually on some of my other sites.
